These Jack Benny Programs feature such legendary guest stars as Humphrey Bogart, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, and Ed Sullivan, as well as dependable Benny cast members Mary Livingston, Dennis Day, Mel Blanc, and Benny Rubin.


Disc One


THE FRED ALLEN EPISODE Fred Allen tries to take Jack s time slot. Eddie Cantor also appears. First aired in April of 1953.


THE HUMPHREY BOGART EPISODE Jack s a detective trying to get a confession out of tough-talking gangster, Baby Face (Bogart). First aired in October of 1953.


GOLDIE, FIELDS & GLIDE Jack tries to persuade Bing Crosby to appear on his program along with comedian George Burns, but Der Bingle wants too much money. Even Bob Hope gets into the act in this star-filled episode, which first aired in March of 1954.


JAM SESSION AT JACK S Tony Martin, Fred MacMurray, Dick Powell, Dan Dailey, and Kirk Douglas appear as themselves, actually playing musical instruments at Jack s house. First aired in October of 1954.


Disc Two


JACK IS FOLLOWED In this memorable episode, Jack gets the distinctly uncomfortable feeling that someone is following him. A very young Johnny Carson (who borrowed much from Benny's delivery) is Jack's special guest.


THE RAYMOND BURR EPISODE A courtroom sketch breaks out when it s announced that Jack s show is preempting Perry Mason! Danny Thomas also appears, as do the astonishing Marquis Chimps. First aired in November of 1959.


THE ED SULLIVAN EPISODE Famed Broadway columnist and television host Ed Sullivan guest stars as a defense attorney (!) representing a Parisian singer for a murder rap. Jack plays the persistent prosecutor. First telecast in November of 1963.
