Walt Disney's Winnie the Pooh (Disney Classics)

Walt Disney's Winnie the Pooh (Disney Classics)
Customer Review: Very good, concise Pooh mini-anthology
We recently got a copy of this book from a friend. It was in distressed, unsellable condition, with pages missing. Nonetheless, my 5 1/2-year old daughter loves it being read to her. It includes various well known Pooh stories in about 14-page each vignette form. I do not know the titles, but the stories include: * Pooh trying to get honey with a balloon from a bees' nest * Pooh getting stuck in Rabbit's front door * Pooh and the blustery day * Pooh and the flood (enter Tigger) * Rabbit's garden * Tigger & Roo get stuck The vignettes are melded together with short, one-sentence segues. As the previous reviewer stated, the art isn't great, but neither is it at all bad. Whether Disney was trying to make a quick buck is moot, now that you can get this nice hardbound book for pennies. I deem it a very good, concise (92 pp.) Pooh mini-anthology; and plan to buy an acceptable copy from Amazon this fall. __________________ BTW hey, this is my first Amazon book review.
Customer Review: Quite mediocre--little storyline; weak artwork; low quality
Was Disney just trying to make a fast buck? This book is poorly done. The artwork is shoddy, the story jumps from one acecdote to another. It's quite difficult for children to follow. Good enough in a pinch, especially for children familiar with the various adventures of Pooh, but not recommended. There are much better Pooh books out there than this one.
