Alien Encounters: Classic Movie/TV Sci-Fi Themes

Alien Encounters: Classic Movie/TV Sci-Fi Themes
Customer Review: "Aliens take on the form of local humans"
Aliens take on the form of local humans to repair their spacecraft in a small Arizona town. Based on the story - "The Metero" by Ray Bradbury and was originally filmed and shown in 3-D (remember those days). The film was re-titled IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE (1953) score composed by Herman Stein which gave us that erie feeling, with suspense around every corner with his scary themes. Dick Jacobs & his Orchestra capture the mood of this popular Sci-fi film of the '50s decade. A definite stand out - STAR TREK:THE MOTION PICTURE (1980) - The City of Prague Philharmonic conducted by Nic Raine with a superb arrangement, gives Jerry Goldsmith's music the royal treatment, clearly proves Goldsmith's nomination for Best Original Score was warranted. This collection for Sci-fi fans is worth it's weight in gold, some selections never on any compilation before. The Hip-O Record staff is clearly on target, taking us "where no man has gone before", or at least - not recently. Total Time: 43:38 on 14 Tracks/ Hip-O Records - HIPD 40049 (1997)
