The Phantom of the Opera
I loved this book and I don't even like Opera! "The Phantom of the Opera" a classic supernatural ghost story with surprising roots in reality- there really is an underground lake under the Paris Opera house! Beside a really interesting story there are a number of excellent subplots which show the goings on of the minor players, ballet dancers, opera singers and back stage personal that live and work in the Paris Opera house. It was much better than any of the dozen or so movies and or musicals that were made from it.
